Josh

Josh was born and raised in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington DC.  As a kid, he began skateboarding and listening to grunge and punk bands in the mid nineties.  In 1996 he got his first bass guitar from a pawn shop for his birthday, a Mexican made Fender Precision bass.  After teaching himself a few songs and taking lessons for a few months, he met some friends who had a drum set and a guitar.  They played music together in a band all throughout middle and high school.  He went on to play in another band with the same drummer from his younger years, and played out in small clubs throughout the DC area throughout his twenties.  Major musical influences include Flea, Kurt Cobain, Fat Mike, Tom Morello, Serj Tankian, Mike Schleibaum, Randy Blythe, and Reginald Arvizu.  Josh is now a father and has taken a hiatus from playing in bands, however still plays bass and occasionally records solo work.  He currently plays an American made Fender 5 string Jazz bass.

Maxwell Murder

Max Murder plays the guitar (poorly) and worked in the music industry at a major record label for 6 years in the early 2000s. A dedicated punk, Max took the major label job at 19 as a in the new media department because... well he had just moved to Los Angeles from Bay Area and needed a job. Max was exposed to different music and even different sorts of punk, like "The Replacements" and "Hüsker Dü". This was mostly  due to a dude named Pat. Pat was from Santa Cruz and had played in punk bands Max knew of.  Pat had a very eclectic taste in music and this rubbed off on Max. Max found out that Pat had written the intro to his favorite Swinging Utters song. 20 years Max works in information security in DC but he's still a steadfast punk who plays his Gretsch hollow body and his Tim Armstrong signature fender acoustic. Max is of the opinion that GUITAR has 6 letters and BASS has 4 letters and as such, a guitar should have 6 strings and a bass should have 4-No more, no less.
